Our life and our commitment

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

I would like share with everyone about few hadiths that I've read today. Its about our life and our commitment. Most of the time we confuse what role we should play in our life to maintain success in this World as well as in the Hereafter and what are the commitments that we should think and act upon them. Let us read this Hadith:

 Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar:

Allah's Apostle said, "Surely! Everyone of you is a guardian and is responsible for his charges: The Imam (ruler) of the people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects; a man is the guardian of his family (household) and is responsible for his subjects; a woman is the guardian of her husband's home and of his children and is responsible for them; and the slave of a man is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for it. Surely, everyone of you is a guardian and responsible for his charges." (Sahih Bukhari )

Do we practice these roles in our life?
Are we committed to perform our responsibilities towards our subjects?
Do we only think about ourselves and neglect others?

Take examples in a family. A husband is responsible for his wife and children in terms of providing a place to leave, food, security, and the most important thing the Islamic knowledge. A wife should be responsible of the house and children whereby she couldn't let anyone (non-mahram) to enter the house without the husbands presence/permission and to take care the her dignity.

Let us look at another hadith:

One day Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, noticed a Bedouin leaving his camel without tying it. He asked the Bedouin, "Why don't you tie down your camel?" The Bedouin answered, "I put my trust in Allah." The Prophet then said, "Tie your camel first, then put your trust in Allah" (Tirmidhi).

This hadith reminds us to act first before we leave everything in the Hand of Allah. If we think our kids do not know how to read Al-Quran, we have to teach them first, and then we pray so that they have a clear heart and soul to read the Words of Allah.  Think of it.
